Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra got married this December on the first. Their relationship has been very public from the start getting many people involved in following their relationship. Nick Jonas posted the following photo to Instagram on August 18 captioned "Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love." announcing their engagement to the world.  But even before this announcement their relationship was very public. They went to the met in 2017 and were active with each other through social media allowing their fans to see a glimpse into their lives. When their engagement was announced Chopra made it clear she wanted t have a traditional wedding that follows her family values and right away the press called her out saying their wedding would all be sponsored content as a publicity stunt. These speculations have become popular because leading up to the wedding the couple looked like they were promoting brands, such as Tiffany & co. and amazon. Chopra was reportedly wearing $1 million worth of Tiffany & co, products and in a post she mentioned amazon and how much fun she had using platform for wedding registration.
The wedding itself cost $800k which is quite extravagant for a wedding when in my opinion the money could have been put to a better use. But judging by the 75 foot train Chopra had and their 7 tower wedding cake their money was spent frivolously. They clearly have the money but was it a waste to send that much money? I've seen plenty of weddings that are no where close to even half a million dollars and they are still beautiful. But I guess it only matters what the couple desires for their special day, right?

While I'm sure many hope their marriage will work out there's always the possibility of things ending badly. They only knew each other for a year before the question was popped and a lot can happen over time. Although it's the couples choice to be so public about their relationship it can be bad if they break up because so many people may have been invested in their relationship through all the posts. But hopefully everything will work out happily ever after, my best wishes to the newly weds.

  1. Their wedding reminds me of the royal wedding that happened a bit ago. There was so much coverage and reporting on it, it started to become less of a wedding and more of a publicity stunt for the media to eat up. I think more celebrities are starting to open up to media about their relationships now, and I honestly can't decide if this is just to gain attention and profit, or if they genuinely feel like they should share more private parts of their lives with their fans. I think this is fine, but too much may be harmful for their relationships, or take away from actual issues that people should be focusing on. Regardless, I think the norm surrounding weddings and celebrity romance is definitely changing.
